Noah Elbry
Noah is a 12-year-old athlete with an unstoppable love for life, sports, and connection. He started walking and kicking a ball at just 10 months old—and hasn't stopped moving since. His very first word was “ball” (followed closely by “Dada” and “Mama”). A standout in the MLS Next soccer program, Noah even trained with Real Madrid in Spain. But during COVID, a new passion sparked—pickleball—after casually playing with his dad on his best friend's backyard court. What began as fun quickly became something more: after his first tournament, Noah was hooked, and pickleball rose to equal passion alongside soccer.
Though he's accomplished a lot, Noah is not immune to challenges. In second grade, he was diagnosed with double vision—a condition that had gone undetected for years. Incredibly, he was still playing baseball and even hitting while seeing two balls at the plate. After 20 weeks of intense vision therapy and a new prescription with Dr. Albert Chun, everything changed. The process was demanding, but Noah showed up, worked hard, and came out stronger—physically, academically, and mentally. That journey instilled a deep work ethic and gave him lasting empathy for others. He shares his story often to raise awareness that some kids may be misdiagnosed when, in fact, they may simply need vision help. Today, Noah trains regularly at Power Play LA, a place that instantly felt like home. From the moment he walked in, he was welcomed into a warm and positive community. He's especially grateful for his main coaches, Matt and Dora, whose consistent coaching and encouragement have elevated his game. He also appreciates the many others who have offered feedback and support—especially during drills and match play. Noah thrives in this inclusive environment, where he loves training with adults and players of all levels, and is especially excited to help grow the junior division as it expands. He loves that Power Play supports local tournaments and offers a safe, vibrant space where he can train hard, connect, and dream big. The Reset Studio has been a game-changer in his development as a young athlete. There, he's learning how to recover, rest, and care for his growing body—thanks in large part to Dr. C and Dr. B, who have been instrumental in keeping him balanced and strong. He's also looking forward to Power Play's expansion—from the restaurant to the podcast area—and would love to jump in on a podcast one day. Most of all, he's grateful to founder Steve, whose vision and mindset have laid the foundation for a healthy, inspiring space where the love of pickleball is truly fostered.
Noah has already medaled in both National Junior Pickleball Tournaments and local competitions, and he's determined to keep pushing forward—with dreams of one day going pro. As a brand ambassador, Noah takes his role seriously and represents each partnership with heart. His first-ever sponsorship was with Pickle Drip, a brand he continues to wear for its expressive, creative gear on and off the court. He proudly supports LumiLumi, performance eyewear that allows athletes to add their prescription—especially meaningful given his own vision journey. He reps Prototype, a line created by NFL legend Terrell Owens, blending comfort with competitive style. And he's excited to collaborate with KONVOI, a dynamic paddle company committed to creating competitive paddles at accessible price points, while also building community through tournaments and play.
A true sportsman at heart, Noah believes in competing with heart, lifting others up, and keeping the energy high-vibe. Being on the receiving end of both great and poor sportsmanship has deeply shaped how he treats others, and it's his mission to inspire a culture of kindness, respect, and fun on and off the court.
Outside of pickleball, Noah is a passionate creator. He plays piano, sings, writes his own songs, and has performed in every one of his school's talent shows. One of his most magical moments? Performing on stage with his favorite artist, Forrest Frank, in front of 18,000 people at the Honda Center.
Noah also assistant-coaches for former LMU coach Paul Krumpe's STARS program, where he has attended since kindergarten. Now a young staffer, it's a meaningful full-circle experience for him. He loves to travel for tournaments and with his family, and he's proud of his roots—half-Tunisian, half-Californian beach boy. He boogie boards standing up (a.k.a. “Stoogie boarding”) snowboards, and started surfing. And Wherever he goes, his tiny pup Ms Cami Pickle is never far—his shadow, his good luck charm, and constant companion.
Noah's favorite subject is math, and his biggest inspirations include his Dad, Luca (who just took bronze at PPA Atlanta),Ons Jabeur (the trailblazing Tunisian tennis star), Novak Djokovic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Anna Leigh Waters, the Pickleball GOAT. Right now, pickleball is a top passion, and he's just getting started.
